A Toast to New Beginnings!

Just after my 22nd birthday, I finally bit the bullet and applied to Wright State University as a transfer student. After weeks of torturous waiting, a fat letter arrived in my mailbox, complete with several pamphlets including the declaration that I'd been accepted!

Let me tell you that I'm more than ready to leave Sinclair in the dust like a fossil of old. Sure, it provided me with some general collegiate knowledge, but it also fostered within me a deep-seated hatred of the graphic design world and a creative block so frustratingly unbreakable that it could crack a diamond in half.

Then again, this new life may just be more of the same frustration. Oh, well. Such is life.

A Few Other Highlights of Summer 2009

• Finally catching up on my sleep (and, yet, I'm still tired).
• Discovering the unbridled joy that is Gurren Lagann.
• Purchasing lots of music at amazing discount prices.
• Rediscovering myself as the artist I want to be (which was great, except for that part where it totally didn't happen).
• Had a period where I couldn't stop thinking about bongo drums (they'd probably be very therapeutic in spite of my lack of musical aptitude).
• Everything else that I can't really remember off the top of my head.

Well, I guess that's it. Unless something amazing and memorable happens in the next week, the Summer of 2009 will probably just go down in history as another humdrum chapter in the drab mystery novel that is life.
