Description

From the land of Weyard, Isaac joins the fray! He uses his powers as an Earth Adept to shake the stage!

Isaac's skills in ground manipulation are rivaled by few. As a result, he is quite formidable.

NAME: Isaac
FIRST APPEARANCE: Golden Sun (Game Boy Advance, 2001)
SERIES: Golden Sun
LOGO: Sun logo

It seems kind of odd, doing a profile for a character about which I knew little to nothing. I definitely have the Golden Sun Syndicate to thank for their troves of information about Psynergy attacks and such.

I have played a little bit of Golden Sun before, borrowing it from a friend in high school. To be honest, the game bored me, so I gave it back to him.

Anyway, let's move on to Isaac's moveset.

I'm unsure as to how Isaac's Gaia system of Psynergy looks in motion, so I just had giant rocks come from both sides of his body. These can vary from massive boulders to tiny pebbles, depending on the charge time of the move, encompassing the entire Gaia family of Psynergy.

Wild Growth is another tether recovery move, using spiked vines to act as ropes to latch onto the stage or pull airborne foes out of the sky. I wanted something plant-related so that Isaac didn't seem quite so... rocky.

Quake Sphere can trap enemies underground temporarily, much like the Pitfall or the god-awful Waluigi Assist Trophy (being my first Profile, you can understand how much this new knowledge cheeses me). When I said that enemies that are further away can feel it, I meant that they can be slightly stunned as well, but the effect only lasts a split-second. Think of it as a momentary shudder.

The last sentence in the description of Quake Sphere is a bit of a misnomer. Quake Sphere can be used in aerial combat; it just isn't used in the way one would use it on land. In the air, it'd act as a Meteor Smash, knocking foes downward with a crashing punch.

Ragnorok is pretty much completely explained as above. It's an energy sword that strikes foes from a diagonal angle in front of Isaac. Pretty easy to comprehend, really.

As for Isaac's Final Smash, well, Judgement seemed to be the only suitable summon. I wasn't really impressed by any of the other Earth Djinni summons, so Judgement was used. He attacks much of the stage, blasting it with energy.

I'm most likely going to do a Veteran update next, but, then again, who knows? I'm indecisive like that.

Update: As of today (7/30/09), the text in this profile has been updated with Justified Left alignment, making the text a little cleaner when confined to boxes. Also, some move descriptions have been changed to better fit the new alignment.

I've been coming up with Smash fighters myself, and my moveset for Isaac is nearly identical to yours...wierd, huh?
