First update in a while!

Since there are tons of people, like me, who can't wait for the release of the Nintendo Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I decided to draw some fanart for that game. Deciding upon that, I said to myself, "Why not fanart of Kirby?" Kirby has always been one of my favorite characters, and I've loved drawing Kirby ever since I was younger.

Plus, I'm in the midst of an idea slump (just about any artist can relate to this), so expect to see copious amounts of fanart for a while. I'll be submitting more Kirby hat drawings, but since there have been only five confirmed characters as of yet (all of which have been covered in the artwork above), I'll be making Kirby hats for characters whom I think would make good Smashers, so to speak. And yes, there will be more third-party characters, but only if they have been in at least one game for a Nintendo system.

This time around, I tried a different style of shading than what I normally do; rather than using a hard round brush in Photoshop, I used a soft round brush. Personally, I think that it makes my shading look a whole lot better than before, but I would prefer an opinion from someone who is more experienced with shading than I am.

As for the character logos, Snake Kirby's cardboard box, and Pit Kirby's arrow and bowstring, they were created in Illustrator.
